PROJECT HIRE

Receive up to $6,000 to train your new employee!

Project Hire is a program developed to stimulate the economy and, more importantly, help your business grow! It’s part of a statewide initiative to help hard-working, dislocated workers transition back into the workforce and Project Hire wants to help you in the process.

How it works:

When you hire an eligible dislocated worker through Project Hire, you can receive an educational grant of up to $6,000 to train your new employee! The grant is yours, free of charge, as long as the person remains employed with you for at least one year.

Depending on the skills needed to fill the position, you can choose to use short-term classroom training, on-the-job training, or even a mixture of both. It’s all based on what you need to get the best training for your new hire.

After the training is completed, you’ll gain a highly qualified team member who is sure to be a valued asset to your company. The best part is, you can receive up to $6,000 for free to do it!

When it’s available:

Project Hire will be available through December 2010, or until funds are depleted. All training must be completed by December 31, 2010. So, act now! You don’t even need an immediate position open to apply.

How to apply:
